The free short guide will guide you on the basic aspects of how you can create your perfectly edited time-lapse video, from the required equipment which is needed to the final assembling of the final edited work:
So let's begin!
What is a Time Lapse Video?
Time Lapse is a cinematic procedure where each frame from the final movie is captured at a particular period of time (obviously its lapsing time). It's typically longer than the one in which it appears.
Kudos to this way of capturing the scene, we are able to accelerate the time that progresses to such a degree that we can demonstrate something that will not usually be visible (for example the relative motion of the stars; the clear rotation of the clouds; the melting of ice cubes in a glass of orange juice, and so on).
Time-lapse technology is capable of delivering impressive effects, and its use can cover everything from nature documentaries to the creation of a business clip or basic story-telling.
Here are three methods of shooting time lapse videos
Method 1: Shoot with Time Lapse Camera
There are several steps you will need to take when shooting your first time lapse videos, if you would love to make the perfect time lapse videos without a hitch then you need to follow these steps to be successful at it:
Step One: Using the AKASO brave7 LE camera or any other camera that has the time lapse functionality, place it on a secure tripod stand and lock down everything. You have to ensure that the camera does not at all the entire time you suing it, except of course you are making use of the motorized slider.
Step Two: Attach an intervalometer to your camera; while that may be available in some cameras, others don't have it. Nonetheless, if your camera has it, then dial in your interval settings. The interval should be whatever you want and should on the scene and also what lens you are making use of. The recommended time set is 1 and 5 seconds.
Step Three: It's important that you put your camera in Manual mode because you don't want it judging the exposure for you. However, if you shot in Aperture Priority mode, then there's a possibility that you will have flickering in your video.
Step Four: Monitor your exposure and ensure that there are no blown highlights. You must also ensure that you manually focus the lens to have the guarantee of getting a sharp final resolution.

Step Five: If you are making use of the DSLR, ensure that the viewfinder is covered as a leak through could alter the exposure between frames, and the can result in flickering.
Step Six: To ensure that you are satisfied with the composition, focus, and exposure, kindly take a test shot.
Step Seven: Consider the number of shots you would want to take. For instance, in the United Kingdom, the standard frame rate is 25fps, so in order to get 10 seconds of footage; you will need to take up to 250 images.
Step Eight: The moment you are satisfied with your position, location, and setting, and then you should press the “Start” button on the intervalometer. If the button doesn't exist, then you should click on an equivalent button on the camera you're using, and then allow it to run for the pre-determined duration of the shot.
Method 2: Use Your Phone
It used to be a very manual and tedious procedure to produce a time lapse video. You'd have to take a photo or two per second, and then put them into an application. However, making a time lapse on your iPhone is just as easy as recording a video.
Here's how to make an iPhone time-lapse video:
Step One: Launch Your iPhone Camera App
Step Two: Swipe through the available options below your screen for the time lapse option.
Step Three: Single press the red record button to begin recording.
Step Four: Single Press the red button to also finish the recording.
A few things to bear to put into consideration while you record a time lapse on your iPhone:
Please ensure that you use a tripod stand: To get the best results, the iPhone should be in the same place all the time.
Create ample recording time. Filming for about 30 minutes is going to give you a lot of footage to play with.
Lock your exposure and focus. If you leave on auto-exposure and focus, the light and focus of each frame will change.
Although shooting a time lapse might be as easy as shooting a regular video right now, there are some shades of it that you're going to pick up along the way. However, if you're a beginner and you are just starting out your filming time lapses and they don't work out the way you want, don't stress about it. Just keep trying and make some adjustments as you go.
Method 3: Time Lapse Video Editing (the Pro Way)
It's very possible that the camera that you use would stitch your final video together for you. However, the benefit of those that their cameras would not, here is a step by step procedure:
Step One: Import all the photos into your Lightroom app and ensure that the time lapse photos are separated.
Step Two: Edit one of the photos, it is advisable to pick a photo from the middle of the sequence, and once you're done, copy all the setting onto the other photos. The recommended aspect ratio should be 16x9
Step Three: Export the photos as Jpegs, at an HD full resolution. Recommended are 1920x1080 pixels
Step Four: Launch your Photoshop, click the window and modify the workspace to Motion
Step Five: Click on file, then open. Locate the folder where the exported photos are stored.
Step Six: Set your preferred frame rate.
Step Seven: Your video will be seen in the timeline at the bottom of the page. From here you can play a demo and see how it feels. Be mindful that it does not play seamlessly for the first time as the files are still being rendered.
Step Eight: If satisfied with it, you can now export.
Step Nine: You can rename your video to whatever you like.
